Most security reporting answers a question the board did not ask. It reports on the security program, in the security program's language, and leaves the translation to whoever is presenting.
Board Alignment inverts that. You state what leadership is actually trying to achieve this year, and Pytheus tells you whether your capabilities support it, what is missing, and what closing the gap involves.
What a priority looks like
A priority is a business outcome with a deadline, not a security task. "Comply with PCI DSS 4.0 by March." "Expand into EMEA." "Close the enterprise deal in the pipeline." Each one depends on capabilities you either have or do not, and the point of the surface is to make that dependency explicit before someone finds out the hard way.
What you get back
For each priority, Pytheus shows whether your capabilities support it at the level required, which specific capabilities fall short, and what it would take to close the gap. That is the difference between telling a board your security posture improved and telling them whether they can do the thing they want to do.
