Tool links

A tool link records that one tool in your stack connects to another. These are descriptive relationships your team maintains, the same ones that appear as integration relationships in CANOPY. They are not data connectors that move information on their own.

Status

Each link carries a status that reflects its real state: connected when the link is in place, planned when it is intended but not yet established, broken when it has failed, and unknown when its state has not been determined. This lets you tell a working integration from an aspiration or a fault.

Provenance

Every link is labeled by where it came from. A link is confirmed when someone on your team stated it explicitly, and inferred when Pytheus suggested it from the catalog, from shared capabilities, or from a heuristic. Confirmed links carry more weight than suggested ones, and the label keeps that distinction visible.

Health rating and note

Beyond status, a link can carry a health rating, from excellent through good and moderate down to poor, plus a free-form note. Health is your team's read on how well the integration actually works, captured so it is not lost in someone's head. The surface summarizes links by health and by provenance so you can see the shape of your integration estate at a glance.

A link marked connected with a poor health note is telling you something important: the integration exists but is not serving you well. Read status and health together.
