The simulator answers a planning question: if we improved these capabilities to these levels, what happens to our position?
How to use it
Choose the capabilities you are considering investing in and the levels you would take them to. The simulator recalculates your scores using the same model that produces your real ones, and shows the difference.
Because it runs the same calculation rather than an approximation, the comparison is meaningful. Two options modeled side by side can be compared honestly.
What it does not do
A simulation is arithmetic on your assessment, not a prediction about the world. It tells you what your scores become if the capability improvements you describe actually happen. Whether they happen, on time and at the cost you assumed, is a question the platform cannot answer.
Nothing you model is saved to your real assessment. Simulating is safe.
