What framework readiness is

Your capability assessment answers how mature your program is. A framework answers a different question: whether you meet a specific published standard. Framework readiness connects the two, so you do not run a separate assessment for every standard you are measured against.
How it works
Each supported framework has a published mapping between its requirements and the capabilities in your assessment. Where a requirement depends on capabilities you have assessed well, readiness reflects that. Where it depends on capabilities you have not assessed, or assessed as weak, it shows the shortfall.
The saving is real: one honest assessment answers several standards at once instead of each one starting from nothing.
What it is not
This is not an audit and it does not produce an attestation. It will tell you where you are clearly short, which is the useful part before an audit. It will not tell you that you have passed, and no reading of the surface should be presented to an assessor as evidence that you have.
